Teton Cloud Case Study: Retail

Client Problem:

A national convenience and fuel retailer ran its payments, store support, and franchise systems from a single data center with no tested way to fail over. A single outage could take stores offline, and an outdated inventory built on tribal knowledge left leadership without the data to plan recovery or modernization.

SOLUTION

Teton Cloud mapped all 400 servers and 132 applications in five weeks and validated them with their owners. The team designed a disaster recovery plan that fails store systems over to Oracle Cloud with no network changes, and built a costed, right-sized Azure roadmap of 23 migration waves over about six months.

IMPACT

The organization turned a single point of failure into a recovery-ready plan, with network, security, app delivery, and infrastructure teams aligned on one recovery design and documented runbooks. Leadership now has a costed, sequenced roadmap to Azure it can fund, starting with early wins.
